Our four guest speakers are all known for their innovative approach to designing small gardens and for making the most productive use of limited space. During the day they'll discuss aspects of design and inspirational planting for year-round interest, along with innovative space-saving ideas. Even in a small garden you can achieve a successful crop of home-grown fruit and vegetables, so there will be plenty of ideas on this too, as well as a focus on all-important design details such as walls and boundaries, lighting and furniture that will help you make the most of your space. The day will be chaired by designer and college director Andrew Wilson.
Speakers include:
• Andy Sturgeon - award-winning designer whose garden for The Daily Telegraph won best in show at this year's Chelsea Flower Show. His most recent book is Big Plans Small Gardens.
• Mark Gregory - as managing director of Landform Consultants, Mark brings innovation and technical expertise to his design. His garden for the Children's Society at Chelsea this year was awarded a gold. He is one of the college's directors.
• Jill Billington - is an award-winning designer, plantswoman and author of Really Small Gardens for the RHS.
• Guy Barter - is head of horticultural advisory services at the RHS and responsible for his team answering thousands of queries each week on all aspects of gardening.
