GI columnist Jojo Tulloh wins award

Hurrah! Gardener, cook and food writer Jojo Tulloh wins a Fortnum & Mason Food Food and Drink Award for her column in Gardens Illustrated

If you’ve read our columnist Jojo Tulloh’s regular writings in the magazine you’ll already know how inspiring her words are on vegetable growing and creating seasonal dishes from home-grown produce (accompanied by Sarah Young's gorgeous illustrations).

We are absolutely delighted then that her Gardener Cook column has received more wide-spread recognition with Jojo’s win of a prestigious Fortnum & Mason Food and Drink Award.

Short-listed against Yotam Ottolenghi for his Guardian Weekend writings and Diane Henry for her Telegraph Stella magazine column, Jojo won over the panel of distinguished judges to be named Cookery Writer winner last week at the illustrious awards evening, held at Fortnum & Mason’s iconic flagship store in Piccadilly.

Here's a video link to get a flavour of the occasion and to find out who all the winners were, or go to the website Fortnum & Mason Food and Drink Award

• In the May issue of Gardens Illustrated Jojo talks about using herbs from around the world to flavour her cooking. Find some of her recipes here, or better still grab a copy of the magazine and enjoy her monthly columns in full.

Congratulations Jojo!
