Over 100 sculptures by 60 new and established artists exhibit their work in the beautiful outdoor setting of the 180 acre Sir Harold Hillier Gardens, creating one of the most exciting exhibitions of contemporary art and craft in the UK. The artists work in many materials, both traditional and contemporary; including stone, stainless steel, glass, wood, smoke fired ceramics, and concrete.

The Yorkshire Sculpture Park's latest exhibition presents a rich and extensive exhibition of work by David Nash, tracing the evolution of the artist's 40-year career and offering a vivid statement of his life's work, including sculpture, installation and drawings.
This is the largest exhibition to date by an internationally acclaimed artist who has developed an eloquent understanding of trees, working with their traits to create sculpture, installation, projects and related drawings.

Around the farmhouse there is a cottage garden, beyond this are other areas of interest including a pink border, bronze border, the Wintergarden, a blue white border and the Prairiegarden, filled with grasses, perranials, roses and some scrubs. There is an orchard, new vegetable garden with both cutflowers and vegetable growing next to each other. Plenty of interest through the seasons.

Gardening charity Thrive celebrate the end of their 2010 Plant a Difference campaign with a harvest festival and plant swap. Bring a plant along, swap it for another and make a donation to Thrive. There'll be plenty of local produce to buy too, including Thrive's own home-grown seasonal vegetables, as well as delicious preserves and gifts from the garden shop.
The Plant a Difference campaign saw money raised from a series of plant swaps throughout the year used to send boxes of herbs, perennials and vegetables direct to the homes of disabled people.
Entry to the Festival of Harvest is free.

Exhibition of images from acclaimed American photographer Mary Kocol. These richly coloured garden compositions, have been photographed at dusk with prolonged exposures, so transforming the mundane into the fantastic. This quality is further emphasised by her occasional use of a plastic lens toy camera, producing images in which she uses the camera's imperfections and its vagaries of focus.
