Visitors can expect to see primroses, camellias and early rhododendrons in the setting of C4 series Country House Rescue. There's a great deal to see including a historical walled kitchen garden dating back to the Victorian era and work has begun on the Tamar Valley cherry and apple orchards. The American gardens will be vibrant and filled with rich colour from the rhododendrons, camellias, magnolias and azaleas.

Over 100 sculptures by 60 new and established artists exhibit their work in the beautiful outdoor setting of the 180 acre Sir Harold Hillier Gardens, creating one of the most exciting exhibitions of contemporary art and craft in the UK. The artists work in many materials, both traditional and contemporary; including stone, stainless steel, glass, wood, smoke fired ceramics, and concrete.

The Yorkshire Sculpture Park's latest exhibition presents a rich and extensive exhibition of work by David Nash, tracing the evolution of the artist's 40-year career and offering a vivid statement of his life's work, including sculpture, installation and drawings.
This is the largest exhibition to date by an internationally acclaimed artist who has developed an eloquent understanding of trees, working with their traits to create sculpture, installation, projects and related drawings.

Exhibition of images from acclaimed American photographer Mary Kocol. These richly coloured garden compositions, have been photographed at dusk with prolonged exposures, so transforming the mundane into the fantastic. This quality is further emphasised by her occasional use of a plastic lens toy camera, producing images in which she uses the camera's imperfections and its vagaries of focus.

Photographic exhibition featuring work by 5 well known artists and photographers including BBC Wildlife presenter Simon King and war photographer Don McCullin. The aim of the event is to give local people the opportunity to find out more about how they can help protect the treasured forest. Two guest speakers are ancient tree expert Ted Green who will be talking about trees: past, present and future (7 October 2010 at 7.30pm), and Rob Kesseler who will speak about his photography (29 October at 7.30pm).

The Apple Weekend includes top fruit expert, Will Sibley, who will be on hand to give advice on all aspects of fruit growing. Buckingham Garden Centre’s plant expert, Chris Day, will be available to discuss growing fruit and vegetables in containers. You can bring along apple fruits for identification as The Mid-Shires Orchard Specialists, Marcus Roberts and Andy Howard will be available to help identify your apple varieties (please bring 2-3 typical fruits and some foliage). There will be a display of apple varieties, including ornamental crab apples to view. Top local cookery expert Alli Templeton will be demonstrating apple themed dishes each day.
