Badger Beer Garden RHS Hampton Court Flower Show 2012

Online garden design and plant resource plantify.co.uk have supplied plants to two award-winning gardens at this year's RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show. To mark the occasion plantify.co.uk is offering a specially created plant collection using plants from their Silver Gilt-winning Badger Beer Garden. The show garden, designed by FlemonsWarlandDesign brings to life the beauty of the Dorset countryside, while also including wildflower species beneficial to bees and butterflies.

All of the plants in the collection are available to buy or you can enter our competition (see below) to win one of five plant collections worth £65 and containing 18 plants. Combine the plants to re-create your own show garden, or plant them individually to create the perfect palette of colour for a sunny cottage style or wildflower border.

The plantify.co.uk RHS Hampton Court Collection includes:

Achillea ‘Coronation Gold’ (Yarrow) a tall perennial with grey-green fernlike foliate and flat-topped clusters of golden yellow flowers in mid to late summer.

Campanula glomerata (clustered bellflower) a herbaceous perennial producing clusters of violet-blue bell-shaped flowers throughout the summer found naturally along roadsides and at the edges of woodland.

Centranthus ruber ‘Albus’ a white form of the more common red Valerian. A hardy plant that thrives in poor soils.

Deschampsia cespitosa an evergreen grass which grows to 60cms high with feathery flowerheads in the summer on long arching stems.

Digitalis purpurea f. albiflora a white variety of Foxglove that gives the perfect cottage garden look.

Geranium magnificum a prolific mass of purple blue petunia-like blossoms that highlights the border with colour beautifully.

Persicaria amplexicaulis ‘Firetail’ a vigorous perennial that forms clumps of lance shaped green leaves with long stems and brush-like red flowers in the summer.

Stachys macrantha ‘Superba’ beautiful dark green leaves with whorls of purple-pink flowers.

1: The promoter is Immediate Media Company Bristol
2: The promotion is open to all residents of the UK, including the Channel Islands, aged 18 years or older, except the Promoter’s employees or contractors and anyone connected with the promotion or their direct family members.
3: The closing date for entries is 11.59pm on 22 July 2012. Entries received after the closing date of the promotion will not be considered.
4: By entering the promotion, the participants agree: (a) to be bound by these terms and conditions; (b) that their surname and county of residence may be released if they win a prize; and (c) that should they win the promotion, their name and likeness may be used by the Promoter for pre-arranged promotional purposes.
5: Entrants must supply to Immediate Media Co their full name, email address and daytime telephone number. The Promoter will use entrants’ personal details in accordance with the Immediate Privacy Policy (www.immediatemedia.co.uk/privacy).
6: Only one entry will be permitted per person, regardless of method of entry. Bulk entries made by third parties will not be permitted.
7: The winning entrant will be the first name drawn at random from all the correct entries after the closing date. The Promoter’s decision as to the winner is final and no correspondence relating to the promotion will be entered. The winner will be notified within 14 days of the close of the promotion by post/telephone/email.
8: The prize is one of five plant collections from plantify.co.uk containing 18 plants, as inspired by the Badger Beer show garden at RHS Hampton Court Flower Show.
9: There is no cash alternative and the prize will not be transferable. Prizes must be taken as stated and cannot be deferred. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize with one of the same or greater value.
10: The name and county of residence of the winner will be available online at www.gardensillustrated.com within two months of the closing date of the promotion.
11: The Promoter reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions or to cancel, alter or amend the promotion at any stage, if deemed necessary in its opinion, or if circumstances arise outside of its control.
12: The Promoter does not accept any responsibility for lost, delayed or fraudulent entries.
13: If the winner is unable to be contacted within 14 days of the promotion’s closing date, the Promoter reserves the right to offer the prize to a runner up, or to re-offer the prize in any future promotion.
