Harrod Horticultural have teamed up with Gardens Illustrated on the latest reader competition.

We’re offering the chance for two Gardens Illustrated UK-based readers to win one of two Southwold Round Steel Obelisks, by answering the question below.

Each obelisk has an RRP of £295.

The Southwold Round Steel Obelisk is part of their Southwold Garden Collection, handcrafted in their Suffolk factory, this stunning garden obelisk makes a real focal point in the garden with its hand-etched traditional style finish and is endorsed by the RHS.

Each obelisk is made using 25mm square high grade steel section for the framework with supporting rings and a decorative ball finial. Measuring 2.11m high from the ground and 0.5m diameter the obelisk is designed to be inserted 30cm into the ground and can be concreted in for extra stability.

The obelisks are hot dip galvanised for rust protection and then hand etched for a unique aged patina which develops and improves as the obelisk weathers. Easy to assemble each obelisk uses long-lasting stainless steel fixings.

This attractive obelisk will offer a wealth of support for climbing plants, giving height and interest to beds and borders and really is built to last with a 25-year framework guarantee.

Competition rules

1. The Promoter is Our Media Limited (an Immediate Group Company) (company number 05715415).

2. *The promotion is open to all residents of mainland UK (excluding residents of Northern Ireland, Scottish Islands, Isles of Scilly, Isle of Man and Channel Islands), aged 18 years or older, except the Promoter’s employees or contractors and anyone connected with the promotion or their direct family members.

3. The closing date for entries is 11.59 pm on 31 May 2022.

4. By entering the promotion, the participants agree: (a) to be bound by these terms and conditions; and (b) that should they win the promotion, their name and likeness may be used by the Promoter for prearranged promotional purposes.

5. Entrants should enter by website link gardensillustrated.com/competitions/.

6. Entries received after the closing date of the promotion will not be considered.

7. Entrants must supply to Our Media Limited their name and email address. The Promoter will use entrants’ personal details in accordance with the Immediate Privacy Policy (policies.immediate.co.uk/privacy).

8. Only one entry will be permitted per person, regardless of method of entry. Bulk entries made by third parties will not be permitted.

9. The winning entrant will be the first correct entry drawn at random from all the correct entries after the closing date. The Promoter’s decision as to the winner is final and no correspondence relating to the promotion will be entered into. The Promoter may share the details of the winner with the prize provider for the purposes of fulfilling/delivering the prize.

10. The winner will be notified within 10 days of the close of the promotion by post and/or email. If the winner cannot be contacted, or fails to respond within 21 days of such notification being sent, the Promoter reserves the right to offer the prize to a runner up, or to re-offer the prize in any future promotion.

11. There is no cash alternative and the prize will not be transferable. Prizes must be taken as stated and cannot be deferred. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize with one of the same or greater value.

12. The surname and county of residence of the winner will be available upon request by sending an SAE to Our Media, Eagle House, Bristol BS1 4ST within two months of the closing date of the promotion. The Promoter will contact the winner before releasing this information and provide the winner the opportunity to object or limit the amount of information shared.

13. The Promoter reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions or to cancel, alter or amend the promotion at any stage, if deemed necessary in its opinion, or if circumstances arise outside of its control.

14. The Promoter does not accept any responsibility for lost, delayed or fraudulent entries.

15. The Promoter excludes liability to the full extent permitted by law for any loss, damage or injury occurring to the participant arising from his or her entry into the promotion or occurring to the winner arising from his or her acceptance of a prize.

16. The promotion is subject to the laws of England.
