The Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle, Italy

Located in the Italian province of South Tyrol, The Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle is encircled by Alpine peaks, and offers a unique combination of nature, culture and art from around the globe. Its mix of historical and contemporary architecture, Artist Pavilions, Experience Stations, diverse events and seasonal blooms make Trauttmansdorff an interactive experience for visitors of all ages. Named Italy's Most Beautiful Garden in 2005 and Europe's No. 6 Garden in 2006, Trauttmansdorff was honoured with the International Garden of the Year award in 2013. The botanical garden was created by Laimburg Research Centre for Agriculture, and is now part of the Agentur Landesdomäne.
