Nominate your unsung garden hero
Gardens Illustrated is asking for the public's unsung gardening heroes
To mark our feature on unsung garden heroes, written by Tim Richardson in our Plant Issue, Gardens Illustrated is asking the public to nominate their very own unsung garden heroes.
Perhaps your unsung hero has managed to create something small but beautiful for the community, perhaps they are someone who has helped a neighbour with their garden during lockdown, perhaps they have transformed a public space, perhaps they are simply inspiring gardeners. We want to hear about them. They should be unsung, therefore unknown to us - we want to hear about stories of people who aren't in the limelight, but who are working to make a difference.
You have until midday on 10 July 2020 to submit your garden hero. Use the form below to send their name, then in the following box paste in 200 words on why you think they are an unsung garden hero. We want to hear about what they do, where they work from, why they are so brilliant and what they've achieved. Please include any Twitter or Instagram handle they may have, and also your email address, which will only be used if we need to clarify details of your submission. We will not be keeping your details on any of our databases.
The week commencing 13 July we will release a shortlist of the heroes submitted whose stories and work inspired us most.
Read Tim Richardson's piece here.
Nominations for your unsung heroes have closed! Watch out on GardensIllustrated.com for a selection of heroes who inspired us.
