Get a taste of orchidelirium with our quiz to mark the opening of Kew's Orchid Festival
Royal Botanic Gardens Kew has its 35th annual Orchid Festival from the 8 February 2020.

This year the Orchid Festival is celebrating Indonesia for the first time ever and will feature displays inspired by the country's wildlife and plant diversity.
To celebrate the opening, we've teamed up with Kew on an orchid quiz. Lara Jewitt, Senior Nurseries Manager has posed the questions. She is based in the Tropical Nursery which is the largest area of glass at Kew with a footprint of 6,500 m2.
It contains 21 climatically controlled zones, which produce plants for the Temperate House, Princess of Wales Conservatory, Palm House, as well as for conservation purposes and scientific research. Lara’s expertise and interests lie in the orchid family, and she has spent a lot of her time at Kew looking after Kew’s extensive orchid species collection.
Take the quiz below to see how much you know about orchids and perhaps learn something amazing about these beautiful plants along the way.
The Orchid Festival at Royal Botanic Gardens Kew runs from 8 February to 8 March, tickets are included in the price of the standard admission to the garden.
