Garden Media Guild Awards announces full shortlist for 2020

This year's nominees for the Garden Media Guild Awards have been announced, with Gardens Illustrated nominated in several categories


This year's Garden Media Guild Awards shortlist have been announced.

The annual awards are held in recognition of the talent in the gardening media industry, with the winners announced in a ceremony on Thursday 26 November. This year's ceremony will be conducted remotely.

The awards are open to everyone who generates or publishes gardening content, with categories covering all areas of the garden media trade including social media, garden books, features photographer and garden publication of the year.

This year, Jane Perrone is shortlisted as columnist of the year for her Gardens Illustrated column The Great Indoors, while Gardens Illustrated photographers Jason Ingram, Richard Bloom and Marianne Majerus have all been nominated for photographer of the year.

Gardens Illustrated's website has been nominated in the website of the year category, alongside sites including The English Garden website, the RHS's Virtual Chelsea and Gardeners' World.

Other nominees include Monty Don, Carol Drake, James Alexander Sinclair and Val Bourne for Journalist of the year.
