UK

Bloom, Phoenix Park, Dublin
Irish garden show and plant fair, held at the end of May/beginning of June each year.

RHS Chelsea Flower Show, London
The oldest RHS show and the most famous, held at the end of May each year. Best for stunning show gardens by international designers and a huge floral marquee with displays from nurseries. You can’t buy plants but can order them here.

The Cottesbrooke Plantfinders Fair, Northampton
Plant fair with some product stalls, held at the end of June each year, now in association with Gardens Illustrated. Beautiful setting for an elegant fair filled with specially selected nurseries and stalls. Find rare and quality plants in a relaxed atmosphere.

Future Gardens, St Albans
New contemporary garden show where international designers create gardens for the whole summer season, open from June until October. Part of the new Butterfly World project.

Hampton Court Palace Flower Show, Surrey
Held in July every year, the huge RHS show is best for plant and product-buying, but the conceptual show gardens are beginning to really make a name for themselves as well.

Malvern Spring Gardening Show, Worcestershire
Held in early May each year. A large but friendly fair that is fantastic for plant-buying. Also has some small show gardens.

RHS Show Tatton Park, Cheshire
Huge show often with show gardens from up-and-coming designers and lot so of plants including from more northern nurseries.
