Chelsea Flower Show 2020 is going to be a very different affair this year and while not all the information has been released, we’ll update this page as more information arrives. Here’s everything you need to know for this year’s Chelsea Flower Show and in the future.
Chelsea Flower Show tickets now to members and non members via the website or by calling 0844 338 7501. In 2020, it will be a Virtual Chelsea Flower Show, so we’re pretty certain no tickets are required. The RHS is refunding ticket purchases.

Where is Chelsea Flower Show?
It usually takes place at the Royal Hospital Grounds, Chelsea, London SW34SR.
When is Chelsea Flower Show this year?
The RHS Chelsea Flower Show runs from Tuesday 19 to Saturday 23 May 2020. Usually the days are open from 8am to 8pm Tuesday to Friday, while Saturday Chelsea is open from 8am to 5.30pm. This year the dates are the same for Virtual Chelsea.
Is there are preview day?
Yes, Cheslea Flower Show will still have a press day on the 18th. Usually this is when members of the royal family and celebrities attend Chelsea. But details are vague on what this will be like in 2020.

What do I need on the day?
This year, you can turn up in anything from pyjamas to high heels! What’s new this year?
In the original line-up, there was a brand new category for 2020: Urban Gardens, which would have focused on gardens of limited, or ‘modest’ space. For a few example, head to our feature on some beautiful tiny urban gardens. This will be postponed until 2021.

What else can you do at Chelsea Flower Show?
Usually you can eat drink and be merry. There’s the Great Pavilion, which features growers from all over the world showcasing blooms, and in which you can buy the best gardening kit around along with plants for your own space. The Great Pavilion is also an opportunity to discover more about recent advances in the world of horticulture, including up-to-the-minute research. There’s restaurants serving breakfast, lunch and dinner and many opportunities to shop till you drop.
