RHS Garden Wisley's Houseplant Takeover begins this week, with the Glasshouse becoming an exhibition for houseplants sprawling across deep sea artefacts and surfaces.

The exhibition runs between 4 February and 12 March 2023 and has a nautical theme. Taking place in the Temperate House, the exhibition will include displays of succulents, air plants and cacti. The RHS has collaborated with Cornwall's Shipwreck Treasure Museum, who have loaned artefacts for the display, enhancing the maritime feel.

RHS Wisley's Garden Manager, Emma Allen said "There are countless treasures to be found at the Houseplant Takeover; we want to show people that if you let your imagination run wild you can create something out of the ordinary in your own home".

The Houseplant Takeover was launched by the RHS due to people's increasing interest in keeping indoor plants, and they recently launched a houseplant rescue box scheme in their shops. The trend continues to grow and you can read about the houseplant craze in Jane Perrone's piece, here.
