The 14th year of Shed of the Year has returned and the shortlist of sheds have been announced.

There are seven categories in which entrants can submit, including Nature’s Haven, Unexpected, Cabin/Summerhouse, Workshop/Studio and Pub & Entertainment.

Last year Chris Hield won in Nature's Haven, for his Bux End, a shed inspired by a hobbit house. Hield will form part of 2020’s judging panel, and said: “I was delighted to be crowned 2019’s winner. Our shed has only gone from strength to strength since September. It has weathered the winter months well and is slowly becoming a haven of activity again. I can’t wait to see what this year’s entrants have in store for us judges.”
