South Wood Farm is advertising for a sole gardener position after the gardener of seven years Will Smithson is moving on to pastures new.

South Wood Farm was re-designed and renovated by Arne Maynard in 2008 and is an established garden of five acres set within an area of traditionally managed hay meadows.

There is a large kitchen garden to maintain of 22 raised beds, which is run organically with the no-dig method and in May 5000 bulbs decorate the flower meadow.

The successful gardener will be expected to conduct 12 NGS group visits a year and work on basic gardening DIY where necessary as well as look after a brood of chickens. Applicants will have RHS level 3 or above.
