Chris Beardshaw is a familiar name at RHS Chelsea, winning his first gold medal in 1998. This year he is designing a garden for the NSPCC with Morgan Stanley, a sponsor who has supported Chris’ gardens every year since 2015, including last year’s garden for The National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain, which was awarded a silver gilt and best in show.

In the last few years, Chris has grown the plants for his show gardens himself, and in this episode, he explains why he thinks plants should be the star of every garden and tells Gardens Illustrated staff writer, Alys Hurn, the story behind his garden design at Chelsea this year.
