Geum ‘Cherry Bakewell’

The new Geum Dessert Series, exclusively grown and developed for Farmer Gracy, sounds good enough to eat. It includes ‘Victoria Sponge’, ‘Battenberg Cake’, ‘Jam Roly-Poly’ and ‘Cherry Bakewell’, in a mouthwatering range of shades, from peach, apricot and salmon-pink to raspberry-red and cream. The hybrid avens Geum ‘Cherry Bakewell’ has semi-double, red-pink flowers over a long period that are attractive to bees and other pollinators. Suitable for growing in a border or in a pot, in full sun or part shade.

Philadelphus ‘Pearls Of Perfume’

This new mock orange has a naturally upright habit and gives an extravagant display of strongly scented, double flowers. Unlike many Philadelphus, the blossoms don’t only concentrate at the tips but stud the length of each branch, and the flowers appear in generous clusters from May right through to August.
Ideal for borders or pots.

Hosta ‘Red Ninja’

A breakthrough in hosta breeding that has excited hosta fanatics: a red-leaved hosta. The leaves are a deep burgundy-red, with a green edge, held on red stems; the red colour gradually softens as the season progresses, becoming a red blush. Grow in part or dappled shade as it needs some sun to colour up well.

pine from Japan. It has a naturally multi-stem shape and forms an umbrella-shaped, evergreen canopy. Perfect for structure in a small garden.

on tall stems; perfect for cutting. If sown early, plants will flower in their first year.

Lomelosia Cretica

A new name for Scabiosa cretica and a new plant for Special Plants Nursery. Compact, grey foliage is topped by lavender-blue scabious flowers for months, with perfectly spherical white seedheads. Likes full sun and excellent drainage, and is very drought tolerant. Avoid winter wet.
